ALUMNI THEATER AND FILM

 

 

THE DECEPTION

Theatre de la Jeune Leune's The Deception stars alumni Emily Gunyou Halaas, Nathan Keepers, Ben McGovern, and Sheila Regan. It was first presented at the La Jolla Playhouse in California from July 17th thru August 19th. It opened here in Minneapolis on October 13th.

IT CAME FROM ANOTHER WORLD!

It Came From Another World!, a retro-science fiction movie directed by alumnus Christopher R. Mihm and starring alumnus Josh Craig just won Best Picture - Feature in the Science Fiction genre at the ShockerFest International Film Festival.

Christopher is also responsible for the Big Damn Film Festival -- a travelling film festival that plays in a different city every month. In November the festival will be in Fargo, ND.

 

 

 

MR. MARMALADE

Walking Shadow Theater's production of Mr. Marmalade, a play by Noah Haidle, opens November 23rd at the Red Eye Theater. It's being directed by alumnus Brian Balcom. Alumna Montana Johnson is doing sound design and alumna Sarah Holmberg is doing props design.

THIRD

Alumna Emily Gunyou Halaas will be appearing as Emily in the Guthrie's production of Third, a play by Wendy Wasserstein. It opens February 16th, 2008.
